Central Virginia Training Center is committed to ensuring that the day to day activities are carried out in a manner that will protect the environment through the implementation of proactive processes that minimize risk to the environment.  Provisions of the Clean Water Act (1987) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requires permits for municipal separate storm sewers shall include a requirement to effectively prohibit problematic non-storm water discharges into storm sewers.

The Commonwealth of Virginia issues permits under the auspices of the Department of Conservation and Recreation.  A Plan must be submitted outlining your program for the illicit discharge detection and elimination (IDDE) of inappropriate discharges into the storm water system.  Central Virginia Training Centerís plan can be viewed by clicking on the CVTC Plan tab above.
